The Homestead Life | Dani + Ty

It was on a early brisk morning of August 9th when I met up with the sweetest couple Dani + Ty at their Homestead nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains just outside of Asheville North Carolina.

Before getting out of the car I was in complete awe of all the animals I was witness before even opening my car door! Dogs, all the bunnies, of truly all the sizes you can imagine, ducks and chickens were there as well and then a lovely vegetable garden. The homestead of my dreams.

The Homestead Life

My goal going into the morning of the 9th was to capture Ty and Dani doing there morning routine. The homestead is a big part of who they are as individuals, as well as being a couple. I felt it was important to capture that. When we arrived they had already had their morning coffee but would be up to have some tea, so they took sometime to really enjoy the tea while chatting about what they have coming up! Next, it was off to gather some veggies for the salad Dani was planning to make for dinner. This garden was FILLED with stunning looking veggies!

• Tomatoes
• Cumumber
• The LONGEST green beans I have ever seen
• spicy arugula (so good)
• Lettuce
• herbs

Truly so much more!

Once they were done Dani picked some flowers for a little center piece, in a white watering can..it was adorable! When I tell you I was losing my mind over all of the cuteness, I’m not kidding! Next I allowed these guys the space to grab their teas again and cuddle together in a little fort they had in the garden. Such a beautiful moment.

After morning tea it was time to get down to taking care of the sweet little animals, watering and feeding the bunnies was a task all in it’s own. Guys. they had little baby bunnies I have never seen baby bunnies before it was so cute to witness! Next it was time to head back into the garden to water all the veggies and plants before the hot humid weather hit. This was actually really cute, Dani sprayed Ty with the watering hose and then even more cuteness broke out!
