Julia and I had such a blast during her senior pictures in Lincoln MA, the whole evening felt effortless and beautiful.
Julia was looking for a unique senior photoshoot opportunity. She wanted something completely different from all of the senior pictures she had seen taken along the ocean. When living near the North Shore of Massachusetts, I suppose. Although, to be totally clear I was completely up for the challenge. Julia was looking for more of a lush forest vibe, which in Massachusetts was harder than you might think. After a pretty decent amount of time digging. I came across Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary. Instantly, sent the location and photos to Julia, She seemed pumped! Day of the shoot, I choose to arrive early to get my bearings and find the best spots. I was pretty surprised by what this sanctuary had to offer, it was massive, which gave us a ton of space to adventure around. This was not the lush forest feel both of us were hoping for but honestly it was beautiful nonetheless. Stunning fern patches, lily pads in the ponds, the sun shining through tall trees, it had a sense of magic to it.
Summer is hands down everyones go too, I mean how could it not be! School is out, the weather is amazing, golden hour feels like something out of a dream and those sunsets..AHHH. I have to say one of the greatest parts about summer is golden hour. The LIGHT..HOLY SMOKES. Yes we can all agree, light is different in all location but for this shoot in particular in an open field..(Chefs kiss)!
So if you are unsure about what time of year you want to do a senior session don’t count out summertime!
