You guys already know I’m all about the mountains! Give me all the mountain sessions all day and all night and I will be the happiest human EVER! On January 2, 2024 I grabbed all of my gear that I lugged to Colorado and headed to Blue Lakes trail to meet my couple Elana and Matt! This was the best session to set the tone for 2024! A bucket list session for me!
Blue Lakes Trail, was a hike that has been on my radar for sometime. When I was location scouting I was unsure if these guys would be up for it, to my surprise they were in, no questions asked. This area completely exceeded my expectations! So beautiful! It was a perfect spot for these two.
You could say I have been manifesting this since I booked my impromptu trip out to Colorado for the New Year. Truly hoping and praying I’d have the opportunity to photography a fun adventurous couple. The dream became a quick reality!
Meet me at the Blue Lakes Trailhead
The excitement was rushing threw my body when I arrived and started running around to do some scouting. The plan was to meet Elana and Matt at the parking lot at the top of the road. Well to my surprise the road was closed and service was not an option. Problem! we were not sure how long the hike would be to the alpine lake from the lower lot. So since I arrived early I had enough time to hike a ways up to get my bearings. Let me just say SO many great spots on the way to the lake! Due to the couples time we did not have the chance to make it to the lake but ended finding some magically spots along the way.
I am so thankful to capture and hangout with Elana and Matt while we wandered up the Blue Lakes trail; I’d love the opportunity to photograph your next adventure couples outing in the Rocky Mountains as well! Reach me here and guys lets go on an ADVENTURE!
